It was a great afternoon at the Horley Recreation Ground last Saturday as the community gathered together to celebrate end of summer jam organised by the Africa Community in Surrey & Sussex..
In spite of the intermittent showers, the community defied the showers and turned out in numbers to celebrate the summer.
It was day that witnessed dance, music and lots to eat as people mingled to integrate and learn about cultures.
The event had the Cllr Victoria Chester who came to celebrate with her community and encouraged all to live in harmony and support one another.
The African drummers got the attention of several attendees as they learnt to beat the “talking drums”
We must acknowledge the support of the Mayor of Horley, Cllr Martin Saunders, Growing Health Together, Dr Gillian Orrow of Growing Health Together for coming to support, Alliance for Better Care and its CEO, Katherine Saunders.
