Yesterday marked a significant milestone for the African Community in Surrey and Sussex (ACISS) as we officially opened the doors to our new Walk-In Office at the Horley Health Hub, 120 Victoria Road, Horley. This event was more than just a launch—it was a celebration of unity, hope, and a shared commitment to empowering our community.
From the moment the doors opened, the atmosphere was alive with excitement and optimism. Members of the African community, supporters, and friends came together to witness this monumental step forward for ACISS.
A Space for Everyone
The Walk-In Office is not just a building; it is a safe and welcoming space designed to meet the diverse needs of our community. Whether it’s offering assistance with job opportunities, providing clarity on social welfare, guiding individuals through housing and immigration challenges, or offering support for *personal and community development, this office is here to serve you.
We believe that every story matters, and our mission is to help turn struggles into triumphs.
Honored Guests and Special Moments
We were delighted to welcome Cllr Victoria Chester and Cllr Neha Boghani, whose presence added a special touch to the event. Their heartfelt words of encouragement reminded us of the importance of collaboration and community support. Their advocacy and dedication to community well-being continue to inspire us all.
The launch of the Walk-In Office is just the beginning. Our doors will remain open every Thursday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a hub of resources, guidance, and connection for the African community in Surrey and Sussex.
Whether you’re seeking tailored support, expert advice, or simply looking for a space where you feel heard and valued, this office is here for you.
As we move forward into 2025, we’re excited about the possibilities this new space represents. It’s a stepping stone to greater achievements and deeper connections within our community. We’re determined to continue building bridges, breaking barriers, and creating opportunities for everyone.
ACISS Founder, Abolaji Odunuga expresses her heartfelt appreciation to everyone who made the day memorable, “to everyone who joined us yesterday, thank you for making the launch truly memorable.
